When selecting the server dropdown list or the database dropdown list in the SQL Client dialog box it take long time in some case to populate these 2 and there are no way to cancel this action until completion.

Add a link to cancel the action as propose in the picture attached here (found in SQL Server 2008 R2 / Gemini Excel AddOn )

Hi skweeky,
Thank you for your suggestion regarding the need to cancel the connection action when you know that the connection may be bad and you don't want to wait for the full connection timeout period. We will consider this for a future release of SQL Server.

Please, please do this. I hate sitting there grinding my teeth waiting for those drop downs to show!
